Dr. Mark Pelham:

Dr. Mark Pelham was born and raised in the Birmingham area and returned to practice medicine there in 1994 after practicing for one year in Las Vegas, Nevada. Dr. Pelham received his Bachelor of Science degree from Auburn University and his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Auburn University's College of Veterinary Medicine in 1993.  Dr. Pelham has been active in organized veterinary medicine serving as President of the Jefferson County Veterinary Medical Association, Chair of the Alumni Advisory Council at Auburn University's College of Veterinary Medicine, and as a Board Member for the Greater Birmingham Humane Society. He is a current member of the Alabama Veterinary Medical Association, American Academy of Veterinary Dermatology and the American Veterinary Medical Association.  

Dr. Pelham has served on several Boards for Auburn University including President of the Greater Birmingham Auburn Club, Auburn University Scholarship Foundation and the Auburn University Alumni Association Board of Directors. He is married to Tiffany, who also graduated from Auburn University and has a son Connor. 

Dr. Pelham is a Major in the United States Army. He has served as team lead for a Veterinary Services Support Team under the 3rd Medical Deployment Support Command and is currently serving as a Functional Specialty Team Veterinarian under the United States Army Civil Affairs and Psychological Operations Command.
